Jatinder Kumar has joined Mahindra Group as Deputy General Manager – R&D, marking a significant addition to the company’s leadership in lab validation and product testing. With years of diverse experience in NVH and transmission testing, fatigue and durability analysis, and legislative compliance, Jatinder brings deep expertise in accelerating validation processes and enhancing product reliability.
Prior to this role, Jatinder served as Senior Manager – NVH/DA, Fatigue Testing, Transmission Testing & EE Testing at Mahindra Group, where he successfully led multiple testing domains, including fatigue testing, vibration fatigue cycle simulation, climatic and chemical testing, and validation of electrical aggregates. His contributions were instrumental in infrastructure upgrades and ensuring compliance with stringent quality and audit standards.
Jatinder’s professional journey includes notable roles at Structural Solutions Private Limited and Aimil Ltd., where he worked closely with the automotive, defence, aerospace, and research sectors. His achievements include leading turnkey testing projects, establishing advanced calibration facilities, and winning multiple high-value tenders. Recognised for his technical acumen and leadership, he is also a Certified Reliability Professional (CRP) and an internal auditor for ISMS and other quality systems.
Armed with a B.Tech in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology and an M.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Punjab Technical University, Jatinder is committed to driving innovation in product validation. In his new role, he will focus on strengthening Mahindra Group’s R&D capabilities, optimising field-to-lab simulation processes, and delivering robust, customer-centric solutions to meet evolving market demands.
