Tapash Kumar Dutta has stepped into the role of General Manager – Channel Sales (Corporate Hospital Business and Modern Trade) at USV Pvt. Ltd., marking a significant progression in his professional journey within the pharmaceutical industry. With over two decades of experience across renowned companies like Pfizer, GSK, Intas, and Alkem, Tapash brings a wealth of industry insight and leadership to this new position.
Having served at USV for over five years, Tapash was previously heading the Corporate Hospital Business, e-Pharmacies, and Modern Trade verticals. His elevation in August 2025 to General Manager is a testament to his proven track record in driving strategic growth, building channel partnerships, and leading high-performing teams in complex market environments.
Before joining USV, Tapash held senior leadership roles across various regions of India, managing diverse portfolios from critical care to anti-infectives. Notably, during his six-year stint at Pfizer, he played a crucial role in expanding sterile injectable sales across premium government and corporate healthcare institutions in Maharashtra and Goa. His earlier tenures at GSK and Intas further solidified his expertise in sales strategy, market access, and hospital business development.
A graduate in Physics from Gauhati University with a diploma in IT from Manipal Institute of Technology, Tapash’s journey reflects a rare combination of technical proficiency, communication skills, and commercial acumen. From being a medical representative in the early 2000s to now leading channel sales at a top Indian pharma company, Tapash’s rise is both inspiring and well-earned.
