Ramakrishna Reddy Ummareddy has taken on a pivotal role at VIDGAS Science And Technologies Pvt Ltd as Senior Manager – Quality Assurance, bringing with him over a decade of experience in pharmaceutical quality systems, regulatory compliance, and analytical excellence. As Site QA Head for the company’s manufacturing plant and R&D functions, he is responsible for strengthening regulatory adherence and ensuring end-to-end quality oversight across operations.
In this leadership role since August 2024, Ramakrishna has been instrumental in implementing robust GMP, GDP, and GLP systems. His vast experience in managing quality incidents such as OOS/OOT, deviations, customer complaints, and recall management positions him as a compliance-first leader. With proven regulatory experience handling audits from global bodies including USFDA, WHO, CDSCO, EDQM, and ANVISA, he brings a globally aligned perspective to VIDGAS’s manufacturing excellence.
Prior to this, Ramakrishna served at Neuland Laboratories Limited in multiple quality leadership roles, including as Deputy Manager and Assistant Manager, where he headed QMS operations for the manufacturing unit. His contributions involved driving risk-based investigations using tools such as Ishikawa diagrams, FMEA, and impact assessments, while aligning batch release activities with international quality benchmarks. He is a certified internal auditor and approved manufacturing chemist, showcasing his dedication to high-quality standards.
Ramakrishna’s professional journey also includes significant roles at HY-GRO Chemicals Pharmtek, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, and his earlier stint with Neuland Laboratories, where he gained hands-on experience in production and quality systems. His expertise spans analytical method validation, technology transfer, impurity profiling, and Computer System Validation (CSV) in line with GAMP5 and 21 CFR Part-11 requirements.
