Imran Shahid has been appointed as the Assistant Vice President (AVP) at IndiaMART InterMESH Limited, marking a significant career elevation for a leader who has spent over a decade shaping sales excellence, operational leadership, and customer-centric growth across India’s leading telecom and digital commerce ecosystems. Based in Lucknow, he now takes on the mandate of driving regional business growth and strengthening IndiaMART’s market presence.
Before this appointment, Imran served as Area Manager at Bharti Airtel, where he spent more than three years managing large-scale sales operations, channel performance, customer engagement, and revenue expansion across Mumbai. His strategic understanding of market dynamics and his ability to deliver consistent results established him as a high-impact leader within the organization.
Imran’s earlier tenure at Airtel includes his long-standing contribution as Zonal Manager, followed by Store Manager, where he spent close to seven years leading frontline teams, optimizing retail operations, and driving customer experience transformation across Delhi and Gurgaon. His journey reflects a strong foundation in operational leadership, people management, and P&L accountability in fast-paced, competitive environments.
He began his career with Hidesign as a Management Trainee, where he gained early exposure in premium retail, customer service, and brand-led sales. This experience laid the groundwork for his transition into larger leadership roles, enabling him to bring a blend of retail expertise, telecom operations knowledge, and customer-first thinking into all his assignments.
In his new role as AVP at IndiaMART, Imran is expected to drive strategic growth initiatives, strengthen regional business operations, and enhance IndiaMART’s customer acquisition and retention capabilities.
