Abhishek Kumar has been appointed as Vice President & Regional Manufacturing Head at Olam Agri, bringing extensive experience in manufacturing, operations, business management, and organisational leadership. His diverse career across leading organisations positions him to contribute significantly to Olam Agri’s manufacturing and operational growth.
Prior to joining Olam Agri, Abhishek Kumar served as Associate Director – Plant Operations at Perfetti Van Melle and Head of Operations at Flipkart and Unilever. He also held multiple leadership roles at GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Ltd, including Regional Lead – GSK Production System, Regional Coach – GSK Production System, and Site GSK Production System Lead.
His professional journey also includes experience with IBM, where he worked as Managing Consultant, and PwC, where he served as Principal Consultant. Earlier in his career, Abhishek held several roles at Tata Steel, including Senior Project Manager, Maintenance Manager, Manager, Manager – Operations, and Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET), gaining strong exposure to manufacturing, engineering, operations, and project management.
In his new role at Olam Agri, Abhishek Kumar will focus on strengthening regional manufacturing operations, enhancing operational efficiency, driving manufacturing performance, and supporting digital transformation. His cross-industry experience with Perfetti Van Melle, Flipkart, Unilever, GSK, IBM, PwC, and Tata Steel will further support Olam Agri’s focus on scalable, sustainable, and high-performance operations.
