Abhishek Kumar has been appointed as Area Head – Fire Services at Aditya Aluminium, a unit of Hindalco Industries Limited, marking a significant milestone in his professional journey within the Aditya Birla Group. Having joined the organization in 2025 as a Young Safety Professional, his elevation reflects his exceptional commitment to fire safety, emergency preparedness, operational excellence, and continuous professional growth. In his new leadership role, he will spearhead fire safety operations, strengthen emergency response capabilities, enhance risk management frameworks, and further reinforce a culture of safety excellence across the organization.
A Fire Engineering professional with a strong technical foundation, Abhishek holds a B.Tech in Fire Engineering from the National Fire Service College (NFSC), Nagpur, under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, and is currently pursuing an MBA in Disaster Management from the University of Delhi. Throughout his career, he has actively contributed to advancing fire safety knowledge by participating in national and international conferences and publishing research papers in reputed international journals. His expertise spans Fire Safety Management, Fire Risk Assessment, Emergency Preparedness & Response, Firefighting Operations, Capability Development, Disaster Management, and Business Continuity Planning, enabling him to deliver comprehensive safety solutions in industrial environments.
Before taking on his current position, Abhishek built valuable practical experience through a series of industry-focused assignments. During his tenure as Young Safety Professional at Hindalco Industries Limited, he demonstrated strong capabilities in fire safety audits, emergency planning, and operational risk management. Earlier, he gained hands-on exposure through internships with Delhi Fire Service, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), UL Solutions – Fire and Combustion Research Centre, and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), where he developed expertise in fire protection systems, industrial safety, emergency response, fire testing standards, and risk mitigation across diverse industrial settings.
