Megha Lal has been elevated to Chief Human Resources Officer at Emversity. With a strong background in people strategy and organizational leadership, Megha has been an integral part of Emversity’s growth journey, having earlier served as Vice President of Human Resources. In her new role, she will continue to drive HR transformation initiatives, employee engagement, and leadership development programs from the company’s Bengaluru office.
Before joining Emversity, Megha Lal was Director of Human Resources at Unacademy, where she led the people practices for several business verticals including Graphy, PrepLadder, NextLevel, and Unacademy Language Learning, along with managing the HR operations for the Offline UPSC Centres. Her strategic focus on building robust HR systems and enhancing employee experience helped Unacademy strengthen its talent framework across multiple fast-growing business lines.
Earlier in her career, Megha Lal worked as Assistant Vice President – HR at IndusInd Bank, gaining extensive experience in corporate hiring, HR analytics, and performance management. She also contributed significantly to talent acquisition and process improvement initiatives during her tenure as Manager – HR at ACC Limited, where she played a key role in post-merger HR integration for ACC and Ambuja Cements, and launched the “Leadership Journey” program for management trainees from top B-schools.
Megha Lal began her professional journey with internships at leading organizations including Heinz India Private Ltd, L’Oréal, Mondelēz International, Piramal Healthcare, and 9X Media Pvt. Ltd. Her early exposure to diverse HR domains such as employer branding, employee engagement, and leadership development helped her build a solid foundation for a successful career in human resources leadership.
