Rakesh Mehta Appointed as Chief Human Resource Officer at Welspun Corp Limited

With over 30 years of experience in human resources leadership across diverse industries, Rakesh is set to play a pivotal role in driving Welspun’s organizational growth and employee engagement strategies.
Before joining Welspun, Rakesh served as CHRO & Executive Director at Uno Minda, a leading global auto components and systems manufacturer, from April 2024 to September 2025. His tenure at Uno Minda was marked by significant contributions to the company’s HR transformation initiatives. Prior to that, he held the position of Executive Vice President & Head of HR at JSW Energy Ltd, where he was instrumental in enhancing HR practices and fostering a culture of excellence. Under his leadership, JSW Energy was recognized among the “Top 25: India’s Best Workplaces in Manufacturing 2024” by Great Place to Work.
Rakesh’s extensive career also includes senior HR roles at Reliance Industries Limited, General Motors, and Asian Paints, where he led various initiatives in talent management, organizational development, and employee relations. His leadership has been acknowledged with several accolades, including the Golden Peacock HR Excellence Award and the Golden Peacock Health & Safety Award in 2021.
