Praveen Sharma has been appointed as the Regional Head – Information Technology at Metro Hospitals & Heart Institutes, Faridabad. With over two decades of experience in healthcare IT, he brings deep expertise in digital transformation, hospital information systems, and cybersecurity management. His appointment reinforces Metro Hospitals’ commitment to leveraging technology to enhance patient care, operational efficiency, and digital innovation across its network.
Before joining Metro Hospitals, Praveen served as Deputy General Manager – IT at Marengo Asia Hospitals, where he played a key role in leading large-scale IT modernization initiatives. He successfully implemented robust data management systems, optimized infrastructure, and strengthened cybersecurity frameworks to ensure smooth and secure healthcare delivery across multiple hospital units.
In his earlier role as Head of Information Technology at Care Institute of Medical Sciences (Marengo CIMS Hospital), Ahmedabad, he oversaw the integration of advanced platforms such as AKHIL HIS and Medblaze QMS. His leadership in streamlining workflows, data protection, and system automation significantly improved hospital operations and patient engagement through technology-driven excellence.
Praveen also served as Head of Information Technology Services at Accord Superspeciality Hospital, where he managed enterprise-level IT operations, vendor relations, and digital transformation projects. His strategic vision and hands-on leadership ensured strong IT governance and seamless digital adoption across departments.
In his new role, Praveen will spearhead IT strategy, infrastructure modernization, and cybersecurity enhancement at Metro Hospitals, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of digital healthcare transformation.
