Hareesh P has been appointed as General Manager – Projects at JSW Energy Ltd, Delhi. In his new role, Hareesh will oversee the design and engineering of E&M equipment for Pumped Storage Plants as well as conventional hydroelectric power plants, ensuring efficient project execution, operational excellence, and adherence to safety and technical standards.
Hareesh brings over two decades of experience in hydroelectric power projects and engineering management. Prior to joining JSW Energy, he served as General Manager at Greenko Group from 2022 to 2025, where he was responsible for the commercial operation, equipment maintenance, and flood restoration works of hydroelectric plants. He has also worked as a Consultant for E&M works at JSW Energy, managing design reviews, site installations, and commissioning of generating units and auxiliaries for major projects like the 240 MW Kutehr HEP.
Earlier in his career, Hareesh held key engineering and management positions across Mangdechhu Hydroelectric Project Authority, Lanco, and NHPC Limited, where he executed projects including the 720 MW Mangdechhu Hydro Electric Project, Teesta VI HEP, Phata-Byung HEP, Budhil HEP, Dhauliganga HE Power Station, and Indira Sagar HE Power Station. His expertise spans design review, tendering, equipment inspection, site installation, commissioning, contract management, and interfacing E&M with civil works.
At JSW Energy Ltd, Hareesh will drive the engineering, project management, and operational excellence initiatives for ongoing and upcoming hydroelectric projects, strengthening the company’s capability in renewable energy generation and sustainable infrastructure development. His appointment marks a significant step toward advancing JSW Energy’s strategic objectives in power generation and energy efficiency.
