Deepak Bhatt has recently taken on the role of Assistant Vice President – Sales and Distribution at India Today, marking another significant chapter in his extensive career in the print media industry. With over 28 years of experience in sales, distribution, and product management, Deepak brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record in driving business growth.
Deepak’s association with India Today spans several years, during which he has held multiple leadership positions. Most recently, he served as National Head – Distribution, overseeing large-scale distribution strategies, optimising supply chains, and ensuring the brand’s strong presence in key markets across India. Prior to that, as Senior General Manager – National Sales, he was instrumental in strengthening advertiser relationships and delivering consistent revenue growth.
Before his senior leadership roles, Deepak contributed to India Today in various capacities, starting as a Sales Manager in 1999 and steadily rising through the ranks. He has also brought valuable industry experience from The Hindu, where he worked as a Sales Officer, and Media Transasia India Ltd., where he served as Deputy General Manager – Product Sales and Consumer Services. His career reflects a blend of strategic thinking, operational execution, and deep understanding of the print media landscape.
An alumnus of the National Institute of Sales, Chennai, where he completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Sales and Marketing, Deepak also holds a B.Sc in Applied Geology from Anna University, Chennai. Known for his leadership style, market insight, and ability to adapt to evolving industry demands, Deepak is well-positioned to contribute to India Today’s continued growth in sales and distribution excellence.
