Rishi Gaind has taken on the role of Head of Human Resources at Jiostar. In this leadership position, he will oversee the company’s people strategy, talent management, organisational development, and employee engagement, ensuring that Disney Star continues to foster a dynamic, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture.
Rishi brings with him over 27 years of extensive HR leadership experience across global and Indian organisations. Before stepping into his current role, he served as Executive Vice President – Human Resources at Star India Pvt. Ltd. for more than 16 years, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s workforce strategies during a period of significant business transformation. His earlier career includes senior HR roles at CA Technologies, Grindwell Norton Ltd. (part of the Saint-Gobain Group), and other reputed firms, where he built a track record of driving impactful HR initiatives.
A postgraduate in Human Resources from Symbiosis International University and a graduate in Chemistry from Fergusson College, Rishi combines strategic thinking with a deep understanding of organisational behaviour and employee development. Over the years, he has successfully led initiatives in leadership development, performance management, cultural transformation, and workforce planning, positioning himself as a trusted advisor to business leaders.
With his appointment as Head of Human Resources, Rishi is set to strengthen Disney Star India’s talent agenda, aligning HR practices with the company’s vision for innovation and excellence in the media and entertainment sector.
