Sumeet Bhowmick has taken on the role of Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Padmini VNA Mechatronics Limited, effective August 2025. Based in Gurugram, Haryana, Sumeet will spearhead the transformation of the HR function into a strategic business partner, focusing on enhancing organizational effectiveness, driving employee engagement, and implementing innovative HR initiatives that lead to meaningful business and people development. His appointment marks a significant step for Padmini VNA Mechatronics as it continues its growth and transformation journey.
Before joining Padmini VNA Mechatronics, Sumeet served as General Manager – Human Resources at Regal Rexnord India, where he managed the complete HR responsibility for the Power Efficiency Solutions BU in India, including talent management, leadership development, change management, and workers’ union relations. Prior to that, he was Head – Business HR, India at DRiV Incorporated (Tenneco Motorparts) for over five years, overseeing workforce planning, diversity & inclusion, policy harmonisation, leadership assessment, and CSR initiatives.
Sumeet’s earlier career includes an impressive tenure with Federal-Mogul Motorparts, where he held leadership positions such as Regional HR Manager – India & South East Asia Pacific, managing HR strategies across multiple countries including Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. He also served as Senior Manager – Business HR, India Aftermarket, playing a pivotal role in succession planning, performance management, and learning & development.
Beginning his corporate HR journey with Central Park, Gurgaon as Deputy Manager – Corporate HR, Sumeet built a strong foundation in performance management, employee relations, training, recruitment, and manpower planning. His extensive experience across manufacturing, automotive, and engineering industries positions him as a dynamic HR leader capable of driving large-scale transformation and fostering a culture of empathy and high performance.
