Amandeep Singh has taken on a pivotal leadership role as Deputy General Manager – R&D Finance at Intas Pharmaceuticals, a global biopharmaceutical powerhouse headquartered in Ahmedabad. With a Chartered Accountant qualification and over 14 years of diverse financial leadership across India and international markets, Singh brings strategic depth and domain-rich expertise to his new mandate—steering financial strategy across Intas’ R&D verticals including Biotech, Formulation & Development, Plasma Fraction, and Cell & Gene Therapy.

At Intas, Singh will be responsible for driving budgeting, financial analysis, and management reporting while supporting strategic decision-making for partner collaborations in in-licensing and out-licensing deals. His experience is especially relevant as pharmaceutical innovation demands sharper financial planning and nimble collaboration models to bring affordable, next-gen treatments to market. With a strong foundation in value-driven financial leadership, he is poised to add significant momentum to Intas’ mission of delivering innovative and cost-effective medicines.

Prior to this, Singh held various senior finance roles at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, where he made a mark as Country Finance Head for Brazil, overseeing commercial operations, tax initiatives, and P&L ownership. He also led the controlling function for the India business, Biologics Manufacturing BU, and had impactful stints in Colombia. His tenure saw deep involvement in SAP S/4 HANA implementation, strategic forecasting, and operational excellence programs—experiences that now fuel his approach to global finance leadership.

Singh’s early career includes extensive work at Tata Steel, where he served as Senior Manager – Decision Support, contributing to strategic budgeting, business analytics, and capital planning. He began his professional journey with Ray & Ray Chartered Accountants, solidifying his auditing and compliance expertise. With a strong academic background from Goenka College (Calcutta University) and multiple certifications from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Singh is deeply committed to finance leadership that drives innovation, performance, and ethical stewardship.

His appointment underscores Intas Pharmaceuticals’ commitment to strengthening its financial governance and strategic planning capabilities as it scales its R&D investments globally.
