Amitt Mehta has been appointed as Chief Of Operating (COO) & Vice President at BAXY Engineering Limited, where he will lead the company’s operations across its diverse business portfolio spanning auto components, three-wheelers, waste management solutions, and civic infrastructure. In this leadership role, he will focus on driving business transformation, operational excellence, manufacturing efficiency, strategic growth, profitability, and business expansion while strengthening organizational performance across multiple business verticals. With more than 38 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, Mehta brings extensive expertise in business transformation, multi-plant operations, P&L management, manufacturing excellence, strategic planning, new product development, business development, and sales leadership.
Prior to joining BAXY Limited, Mehta served as President – Operations & Business, Aluminium Lightweighting Precision Solutions (ALPS) at ASK Automotive Limited, where he led business operations and manufacturing initiatives for the aluminium precision solutions business. Earlier, he was Head of Business Management & Operations – Casting Division at Sahuwala Group – Arete22, overseeing business operations and driving manufacturing performance for the automotive casting business. Before that, he held key leadership positions at UNO MINDA Group as Head of Business Operations and Plant Head, where he managed large-scale manufacturing operations and operational performance across multiple facilities.
Earlier in his career, Mehta worked with Zeiss GKB Hi-Tech Lenses Ltd as General Manager – Sales & Marketing (East Asian Countries) and Senior Operations Manager, contributing to international business growth and operational management. He also held progressive leadership roles at UNO MINDA Group as Manufacturing Manager and Assembly Manager, gaining extensive experience in production management and manufacturing operations. He began his professional journey with Honda Siel Cars Limited as Senior Engineer before serving as Assistant Manager at Purolator India Limited, where he built a strong foundation in automotive manufacturing, engineering, and operations management.
