Dr. Nilesh Rane has been elevated to Principal Consultant – APAC | Research Solutions | Pharma & Chemical at Elsevier, marking an important milestone in his distinguished career spanning scientific research, life sciences informatics, and strategic business consulting.
With nearly two decades of experience across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, and scientific information industries, Dr. Rane has built a strong reputation for bridging science with technology to help organizations accelerate research, innovation, and data-driven decision-making. His expertise spans business development, strategic partnerships, scientific informatics, solution consulting, project management, and digital transformation for R&D organizations.
In his new role at Elsevier, Dr. Rane will lead strategic engagement with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, specialty chemical, and research organizations across the Asia-Pacific region. He will focus on expanding Research Solutions adoption, strengthening strategic customer relationships, driving SaaS and DaaS growth, and delivering measurable value through innovative scientific and data intelligence solutions that support research excellence.
Prior to this appointment, Dr. Rane served as Solution Consultant – Life Sciences at Elsevier, where he successfully drove regional business growth across South Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Earlier in his career, he held key positions at Sai Life Sciences Ltd, Jubilant Chemsys -> Jubilant Biosys Limited, and the University of Indore (Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya), building deep expertise in medicinal chemistry, cheminformatics, laboratory informatics, scientific software solutions, and research program management.
