I’m pleased to share the completion of one year at DLF Limited, marking a meaningful milestone in my journey as Deputy Manager – Design (Structures) at the Mumbai office. Over the past year, this role has offered valuable exposure to complex, high-impact projects and reinforced the importance of precision, collaboration, and accountability in delivering build-ready outcomes.

My responsibilities span end-to-end design coordination from concept to GFC, working closely with design consultants and peer reviewers to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables aligned with project demands. A critical aspect of the role involves continuous coordination with site teams—addressing RFIs, execution queries, and change requests—to enable smooth, on-ground execution without delays or ambiguities.

I’ve also focused on value engineering by reviewing drawings to identify optimization opportunities and collaborating with the budgeting team to translate design efficiencies into measurable cost benefits. Regular site visits have helped ensure execution aligns with issued drawings and details, while enabling proactive resolution of constructability challenges.

Finally, micro-tracking of deliverables has been central to my approach—anticipating critical dependencies early to safeguard timelines and quality. I’m grateful to the leadership, colleagues, and project teams at DLF for their trust and collaboration over the past year, and I look forward to continuing this journey with the same commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
