Sai Life Sciences Ltd. announced Abhijit Das‘s promotion to the role of General Manager –Operational Excellence, reinforcing the organization’s strong commitment to operational rigor, financial discipline, and enterprise-wide excellence.
In this role, Abhijit leads Operational Excellence initiatives across all manufacturing units, driving strategic execution with a clear focus on EBITDA enhancement and enterprise-wide cost optimization. He is spearheading high-impact Six Sigma programs, Kaizen Blitz initiatives, and governance-led performance improvements to strengthen productivity, operational agility, and sustainable financial outcomes across the manufacturing footprint.
Abhijit has been a key contributor to Sai Life Sciences’ Operational Excellence journey, previously serving as Deputy General Manager – Operational Excellence. During this tenure, he led lean transformation initiatives, enabled faster and more informed decision-making through digitized performance dashboards, optimized production planning processes, and embedded a strong OE mindset through structured cultural and capability-building programs.
Prior to joining Sai Life Sciences, Abhijit held leadership roles in Business Excellence and Asset Optimization across some of India’s most complex industrial environments, including Vedanta | FACOR, Hindustan Zinc, and Vedanta Limited – Aluminium Business. Across these assignments, he consistently translated operational discipline into measurable gains in throughput, asset reliability, and cost efficiency across mines, smelters, power plants, and large-scale manufacturing operations.
With deep expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, asset optimization, and quality systems, Abhijit brings a structured, data-driven, and execution-focused leadership approach. His expanded role strengthens Sai Life Sciences’ focus on manufacturing excellence, continuous improvement, and long-term value creation.
