Kushal Kumar Varshney has been appointed as Assistant Vice President – Information Technology at Juniper Green Energy, where he is leading IT strategy and digital transformation initiatives for the company’s renewable energy portfolio spanning solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems. His focus lies on building future-ready IT infrastructure, enhancing cybersecurity, advancing cloud integration, and enabling data-driven decision-making to support sustainable growth and ESG objectives at Juniper Green Energy.
Previously, Kushal Kumar Varshney served as Chief Information Officer at Shyam Steel Industries Limited, overseeing end-to-end IT strategy, digital transformation, and governance across the Shyam Steel Group’s diversified businesses including Ghar Eka, Golok, Buildistan, Zhuzoor, BudLeaf, Shyam Infra, Shyam Future Tech, Macau Paint, SturdFlex, Apna Ghar, and Ginteja. During his tenure, he spearheaded the migration from on-premise SAP S/4HANA to SAP RISE (Cloud), driving modernization and standardization across group entities while strengthening cybersecurity and analytics frameworks.
Before that, Kushal Kumar Varshney was associated with ACME Group as Assistant Vice President and Head IT (CIO), where he led IT strategy, digital transformation, and cybersecurity initiatives. He played a pivotal role in aligning technology systems with IPO compliances and setting up scalable IT infrastructure to support expansion across sectors such as renewable energy, green hydrogen, and green ammonia, including facilities in Jaipur and Duqm, Oman.
Earlier, Kushal Kumar Varshney held key technology leadership roles with organizations such as IndiGrid, CleanMax Solar, Mahyco, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India Pvt. Ltd., IBM, and Raymond Limited. At IndiGrid, he contributed significantly to the company’s renewable energy digital ecosystem, driving IT transformation during its major M&A integrations. His extensive experience across industries underscores his expertise in digital transformation, IT governance, cybersecurity, and enterprise technology management.
