Before stepping into his new role, Sakthitharan played a significant leadership role within Tamara Leisure Experiences, serving as Executive Assistant Manager at The Tamara Coorg and Food and Beverage Manager at both The Tamara Kodai and The Tamara Coorg. During his tenure, he consistently demonstrated excellence in operations, team leadership, and guest satisfaction, driving the brand’s vision of delivering world-class hospitality standards.
Prior to joining Tamara, Sakthitharan had a long and accomplished tenure of nearly eight years with Taj Hotels, where he held several key roles including Food and Beverage Manager at Taj Bekal Resort & Spa, Restaurant Manager & Sommelier at Taj MG Road Bengaluru, and earlier assignments at Taj Coromandel, Chennai. His efforts in elevating dining experiences earned accolades such as the Best Chinese Fine Dining award at the Bangalore Times Food Awards 2017 for the iconic “Memories of China” restaurant.
Earlier in his career, Sakthitharan showcased his managerial acumen at Omar Shariff Authentic Indian Restaurant in Singapore, where he managed full-scale restaurant operations and strengthened brand presence across the region. His early professional journey began with ITC Hotels, where he served as Guest Service Associate and later as Service Coordinator at ITC Gardenia Bengaluru. These foundational years built his strong operational and service excellence base in luxury hospitality.
