Mohammad Azeez has taken over as Deputy General Manager – Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) at Minera Group, effective September 2025. In this leadership position, he will be heading Environment, Health, and Safety operations for the organization, managing statutory clearances, ensuring compliance, and driving the implementation of best-in-class EHS practices across Minera Group’s projects.
Before joining Minera Group, Mohammad Azeez was associated with Kirloskar Ferrous as Senior Manager – Corporate Environment, where he played a key role in statutory compliance management, waste management, and sustainability initiatives. His contributions helped strengthen the company’s environmental governance and align operations with regulatory frameworks.
Earlier in his career, Mohammad Azeez worked as Manager – Corporate Sustainability at Laurus Labs Limited, where he led sustainability reporting, managed environmental clearances, and spearheaded compliance strategies. He also spent over 11 years at JSW Steel as Senior Engineer – Environment & Sustainability, where he was instrumental in ESG strategy development, statutory environment and forest clearances, and sustainability reporting. His long tenure at JSW Steel gave him deep exposure to large-scale industrial sustainability practices.
With a strong track record across Minera Group, Kirloskar Ferrous, Laurus Labs, and JSW Steel, Mohammad Azeez brings over a decade of expertise in ESG, compliance, and environmental leadership. His focus on building robust sustainability systems and driving operational excellence will support Minera Group in achieving its environmental and safety goals.
