Suresh Manickavasagam has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer at KMC Aluminium Private Limited, effective August 2025. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing operations at KMC Aluminium and its group company KMC Petrochemicals, driving strategic growth, operational efficiency, and process optimization across multiple manufacturing units. His leadership is expected to further strengthen the company’s position in the aluminium extrusion profile industry.
Prior to this elevation, Suresh served as Plant Head at KMC Aluminium Limited, where he managed multiple aluminium extrusion manufacturing plants across India. He successfully streamlined production, implemented quality control measures, and enhanced workplace safety standards, contributing to significant operational improvements during his tenure.
Earlier, Suresh was Vice President – Operations at Altek Beissel Needles Ltd., where he was responsible for P&L management, turnover growth, and CSR initiatives. He also collaborated with KPMG teams to implement ESG sustainability monitoring, data acquisition, and analysis. His career also includes a key leadership stint at Tonglit Autogistic Pvt Ltd., where he spearheaded a 35-member product engineering team catering to top auto OEMs such as Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, and Mahindra, and led the development of a patented “Compact Vehicle Ramp.”
Suresh also served as Senior Manager – New Product Development at Greaves Cotton India Limited, heading the NPD engines team and successfully delivering three major projects, including the Power Weeder 5 H.P Diesel. His deep expertise in plant operations, engineering innovation, and business strategy has consistently driven performance improvement across all organizations he has been part of.
With over two decades of experience across KMC Aluminium, KMC Petrochemicals, Altek Beissel Needles Ltd., Tonglit Autogistic, and Greaves Cotton, Suresh Manickavasagam brings a strong track record of operational leadership and innovation to his new role. His appointment is seen as a strategic move to enhance KMC Aluminium’s manufacturing capabilities and ensure sustainable growth.
