Ravi Annavarapu has taken over as Chief Executive Officer of Calibre Chemicals Private Limited, a leading Everstone-backed Indian specialty chemicals multinational. Calibre Chemicals specialises in iodine derivatives, persulfates, and perchlorate products, with operations in India and Germany and a customer base spanning over 50 countries. As CEO, Ravi will lead the company’s strategic growth, operational excellence, and global market expansion.
Ravi brings over 15 years of leadership experience in chemicals, agriculture, and industrial sectors, combining strategic insight with deep operational expertise. Prior to joining Calibre Chemicals, he served as President, FMC India and South West Asia, where he managed a $400M agrochemicals business across India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal, leading over 800 employees and 2,000+ contract workers to deliver strong growth and profitability.
During his 12-year tenure at FMC Corporation, Ravi held several senior roles including Director of Sales and Marketing, FMC India, Global Marketing Director, Health & Nutrition Division, and Global Business Director, Food & Wellness Ingredients. His earlier career includes serving as Director of Corporate Strategy and Development and a successful stint at McKinsey & Company as an Engagement Manager, advising Fortune 100 chemical and industrial clients on growth strategy, M&A, and operational transformations.
Ravi holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA in Finance from the MIT Sloan School of Management. His academic and professional journey reflects a rare combination of technical innovation, business acumen, and global leadership.
