Shyam Kalyanasundaram has taken over as Chief Executive Officer at Aequs Infra, effective June 2025. With a distinguished career spanning more than two decades, Shyam brings deep expertise in driving revenue, building high-growth businesses, and managing large-scale infrastructure and industrial operations across India and global markets.
Prior to joining Aequs Infra, Shyam held key leadership roles at IndoSpace, where he served as Executive Director – Revenue and was a part of the executive team. During his six-year tenure, he played an instrumental role in spearheading leasing operations across a 50 million sq. ft portfolio, managing pan-India revenue and scaling up operations across regions. His strategic insights and customer-focused approach were central to IndoSpace’s continued leadership in the warehousing and industrial real estate space.
Earlier, Shyam was the Chief Operating Officer at Mahindra Industrial Park Chennai Limited, a joint venture between Mahindra Group and Sumitomo Corporation, and held a significant role at Mahindra World City, where he was responsible for end-to-end business development and marketing. His ability to forge strategic partnerships with global clients like BMW, BASF, and Ingersoll Rand contributed significantly to Mahindra’s industrial township success.
Shyam’s early career at UPS, where he held multiple leadership roles across Singapore, Malaysia, Brussels, and the US, provided him with a solid foundation in revenue management, pricing strategy, and international business operations. He holds an MBA from Western Carolina University and a Bachelor’s degree from Anna University, Chennai.
With his proven track record of delivering scalable business outcomes and his global perspective, Shyam Kalyanasundaram’s appointment signals a bold new phase for Aequs Infra as it continues to expand its footprint in the infrastructure and industrial development landscape.
