Amit Shetty has been elevated to the role of Chief Executive Officer at Embassy REIT, effective August 2025. His appointment marks a significant milestone for both him and the organisation, as he takes charge of steering one of Asia’s largest real estate investment trusts into its next phase of growth and innovation.
Amit brings with him nearly two decades of deep experience across real estate, leasing, and strategic leadership. Since joining Embassy REIT in 2021, he has held pivotal roles including Co-Head of Leasing, Head of Leasing, and Chief Operating Officer, before stepping into the CEO role. Under his leadership, the company has executed high-impact leasing strategies across a portfolio that spans six major Indian cities and includes 50.5 million square feet of office and retail space.
Prior to his tenure at Embassy REIT, Amit held senior positions at CBRE for nearly a decade, where he led the Office Services business in Bengaluru and managed a large team with a focus on profitability, innovation, and client-centric solutions. He also held leadership roles at Honeywell International and CB Richard Ellis, where he managed real estate portfolios and corporate accounts across India, demonstrating an exceptional ability to drive results through strategic foresight and operational excellence.
Amit is an alumnus of Bangalore University, where he earned his MBA in Marketing, and Visvesvaraya Technological University, where he completed his undergraduate studies. His career is marked by a consistent track record of delivering results, managing large teams, and leading transformational initiatives in India’s ever-evolving real estate sector.
