Venkataraman Vasudevan joins AVR Energies – An O&M Company as Chief Executive Officer & Director, bringing with him over three decades of distinguished leadership in Bulk Material Handling Systems (BMHS), engineering, operations, and industrial asset management.
A highly respected engineering leader, Venkataraman has built an exceptional career spanning the Power, Ports, Mining, Steel, Refinery, and Industrial sectors. Throughout his professional journey, he has successfully led the engineering, execution, commissioning, operation, maintenance, modernization, and reliability improvement of large-scale Bulk Material Handling Systems across India and international markets.
He began his career with FLSmidth, where he gained valuable international engineering exposure through assignments in Denmark and Germany, specializing in advanced engineering practices and technology transfer. Over the years, he has played a pivotal role in delivering complex material handling projects for leading organizations including Adani, JSW, Tata Steel, NMDC Limited, SAIL, JSPL, and Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, while also contributing to projects across Australia, the USA, Brazil, and Germany.
Prior to joining AVR Energies, Venkataraman held senior leadership positions at Arni Engineering Tech Private Limited and Thejo Engineering Ltd., where he successfully led technical strategy, business development, operations & maintenance, engineering consulting, asset reliability programs, retrofit engineering, and large-scale project execution. His expertise spans engineering excellence, plant reliability, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvement, Coal Handling Plant modernization, EPC execution, pipe conveyor systems, and multi-site industrial operations.
Beyond project leadership, he is widely recognized for his passion for technical mentoring and knowledge sharing, having conducted numerous industry seminars and training programs that have contributed to developing engineering talent and advancing best practices across the industry.
As Chief Executive Officer of AVR Energies, Venkataraman will lead the company’s strategic growth, engineering excellence, and operational transformation while delivering integrated engineering, operations, maintenance, and asset management solutions that enhance reliability, efficiency, safety, and long-term value for customers across the power and industrial sectors.
